About the CRUISESHIP

The U.S. registry of Norwegian Cruise Line's Pride of Aloha will be replacing the Pride of America* for the July 4th, 2004 cruise.  The beautiful ship features six restaurants, several lounges, world-class entertainment, a sports deck, 3 pools, a health and fitness center.  The "Spirit of Aloha" can be felt throughout the ship with its distinctive Hawaii decor and the gracious, friendly Hawaiian crew. And with a seemingly infinite array of amenities, accommodations, dining options and activities, the pleasures aboard the Pride of Aloha are boundless.

PRIDE OF ALOHA is particularly family friendly and features a Kids' Center and Kids' Pool.  On board, you will enjoy Freestyle Cruising, an experience designed with your freedom of choice in mind.  You decide when, where and with whom you want to dine.  You can choose to dress "resort casual" or "formal".  NCL wants you to have the most relaxing and enjoyable cruise ever.

The Hawaiian Islands, "the loveliest fleet of islands that lies anchored in any ocean", represent the world in miniature, encompassing everything from snowcapped mountains to fiery volcanoes, from lush tropical rain forests to barren lava deserts, and from jewel toned beaches to the emerald green taro fields. These islands are not simply a living paradise, but also have cosmopolitan centers of art, agriculture and history. Let the PRIDE OF ALOHA transport you in style to Honolulu, Hilo, Kona, and overnight stays in Nawiliwili, Kauai and Kahului, Maui.

* The change of ship is due to damage the Pride of America sustained when it was under construction in Germany.  NCL determined that the incident in Germany would cause a substantial delay in the production of the Pride of America.

Therefore, NCL has announced that the Pride of Aloha, currently sailing as Norwegian Sky, will undergo a multi-million dollar remodeling in May and be reflagged into the U.S. registry to assume Pride of America’s itinerary. The 2,000-passenger state-of-the-art ship begins sailing as Pride of Aloha in early June in California and culminates with an inaugural celebration and ship christening on July 4th in Hawaii when she will then begin seven-day inter-island Hawaii cruises.  Travel agents are currently reassigning cabins from the Pride of America to equivalent or superior cabin on the Pride of Aloha.
